  • WalletHub analyzed prices for 26 grocery items in 100 large cities and found that residents in Detroit and Cleveland spend nearly 3.8% of their income on groceries—while Plano shoppers pay only 1.33%, pointing to lower grocery cost pressures. The study shows that cities with lower incomes face higher relative grocery expenses.  FOX 4 News

SPORTS NEWS

  • Trophy Club Byron Nelson stayed unbeaten with a 31-0 record after sweeping Euless Trinity 25-13, 25-10, 25-10 and extending its winning streak to 67 matches. The top-ranked team will play at Keller next Tuesday—while other area teams like Southlake Carroll and Plano West hold strong records.  The Dallas Morning News
  • Dallas city manager Kim Tolbert said the city is fully committed to keeping the Stars as team ownership talks with cities including Plano, Frisco, The Colony, Arlington and Fort Worth intensify. The Stars must secure 75 acres for a new arena and decide within 6—8 months if they will stay in Dallas.  NBC DFW
