- ➤ This December, Plano will host several community events including Lights On The Farm at Heritage Farmstead Museum on Dec 6th with holiday treats and Dickens In Downtown Plano at the Downtown Arts District free of charge. The city will also feature a Holiday Parade on Dec 13th, a showing of It’s A Wonderful Life at Courtyard Theater on Dec 19th, a Candy Cane Course 5K/12K run on Dec 20th, Home For The Holidays with Charles Billingsley on Dec 21st, and Parker Ryan’s performance on Dec 27th—each event offering a festive local celebration. - ➤ Cowhide Med Spa has opened in Plano at Cloister Square on W 15th — the boutique spot offers day-spa, salon and medical aesthetic services in a 1,200-square-foot space designed for multiple treatments in one visit. - ➤ Pappalecco, an Italian-style café from Las Vegas and San Diego, will open its first Texas location in Historic Downtown Plano on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. The franchise will offer a 50% discount on menu items during its grand opening weekend — it will serve coffee, gelato, pastries and paninis at 1009 14th St., Unit 600 — and more details are expected as the opening nears. - ➤ Thousands of families who ordered a Greenberg Smoked Turkey for Thanksgiving may receive their order on Thanksgiving Day instead of Wednesday because shipments stalled at a FedEx hub in Hutchins were delayed by a full day — owner Sam Greenberg said his team is contacting every affected customer and FedEx is working to resolve the issue. - ➤ Avacraft is a Plano cooking company that was named in a national gift guide by the Connected Commerce Council to boost small businesses for the holiday season.
