- ➤ Puzzles of Color is launching its first Black Joy Market in Plano on Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at My Possibilities on Mapleshade Lane—this free event will offer over 30 Black-owned vendors, live performances, photos with luxury Black Santa, a reading by Allison Woods, and a dance show by Destiny Devoted Dance Company. - ➤ A new mural celebrating Latino heritage now adorns the exterior of Prime Time Insurance at 651 K Ave in Downtown Plano and marks another phase of the Kemper Auto Mural Project—Conectando Comunidades. Local business owner Lorina Espinoza and muralist Mariell Guzman collaborated to create the artwork, which aims to bring public art to the neighborhood. Plano Magazine

- ➤ Plano city leaders are holding an election on May 2 to decide whether to remain with DART or withdraw, which could result in immediate transit service changes. Officials have set aside funding for a microtransit system—designed to improve connectivity—and formed a citizen committee that will meet in December to evaluate future transportation options. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Parkland Hospital and the SPCA launched a program that lets patients keep their pets nearby while they get treatment—this service started after staff noticed some were delaying care due to worries about leaving their animals behind.
