ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Homeowners in the region are preparing to host visitors for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after the Dallas Short Term Rental Alliance held an info session in Oak Cliff on Friday. AT&T Stadium in Arlington will host nine matches from June 14 to July 14 and is expected to boost the regional economy by $2.1 billion. NBC DFW

- ➤ Fulton Elementary students learned about Texas wildlife this week when experts Edwin Quintero and Sam Wolfe led interactive lessons with help from Rockport-Fulton Middle School volunteers—middle schoolers joined on Nov. 11 to teach about reptiles, amphibians and shorebirds while students showed their thanks with homemade treats. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ North Texas toll roads including Dallas North Tollway, Bush Turnpike and Sam Rayburn Tollway in Plano are facing closures and detours this weekend due to construction and maintenance work — drivers should expect delays and check posted detour signs. The work began Friday night and will continue until Monday morning, with schedules subject to change based on weather. The Dallas Morning News
