- ➤ Clarissa Clarke, head of government affairs at North Texas Food Bank, said the organization is preparing for a surge in people after Nov. 1 when SNAP payments did not arrive for 3.5 million Texans due to an ongoing federal shutdown debate. The USDA said it will not use its emergency funds for these payments. NBC DFW

- ➤ Ralph Priso tied the game in stoppage time and Belal Halbouni scored the winning penalty during a shootout win over FC Dallas Saturday night—Vancouver Whitecaps swept their opponent in the best-of-three first round series.
