- ➤ Plano will host many events this November including the Food & Wine Festival on Nov 1 at Legacy West and the NTPA Stardust Awards on Nov 1 at the Event Center. Other events include the Comedy Festival from Nov 4-9 at Mic Drop Comedy & the Magazine 10-Year Anniversary on Nov 8 at McCall Plaza, with the Turkey Trot on Nov 27 at Red Tail Pavilion. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Dallas Area Rapid Transit celebrated the opening of its new Silver Line rail — running from DFW Airport to eastern Plano — in a formal event. Plano Star Courier
- ➤ The federal government shutdown may delay state payments—supporting SNAP benefits—for millions of Texans, putting families at risk as new federal work rules take effect in November.
