GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Fire Station 5 in Plano reopened after a $12M renovation funded by a 2021 bond referendum — the station now spans 14,000 sq ft with private bedrooms and upgraded facilities for firefighters. Plano Star Courier
- ➤ Drivers on Dallas-area toll roads face delays this weekend due to construction work. The North Texas Tollway Authority said the Addison Airport Toll Tunnel is closed east- and westbound until Sunday at 9 p.m. and that lanes in the Plano area closed early Friday for lighting maintenance — additional closures on Frontier Parkway in the Celina and Prosper areas will run Friday and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. The Dallas Morning News
