CULTURE NEWS

  • Second Thought Theatre presents Incarnate, a play that shows the danger of taking deep wishes too far when a man kidnaps a woman he believes is his father's rebirth. Executive director Parker Davis Gray wrote the play after his father's drowning, and the show runs at Bryant Hall through Nov. 1—tickets cost $32.  KERA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Tomorrow, the long-awaited DART Silver Line will begin service, connecting Plano with Richardson, Dallas, Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, Grapevine and DFW International Airport using Stadler trains with bike racks, USB chargers and ADA-compliant boarding. Service will run daily from 4 a.m. to 1 a.m. with trains every 30 minutes during rush hours — free rides are offered from Oct. 25 through Nov. 8, with a three‑hour pass costing $3 and an all‑day pass costing $6.  KERA

HEALTH NEWS

  • The American Automobile Association and Texas Department of Transportation advise drivers to check tire pressure, ensure proper windshield wiper function, and avoid using cruise control as rain increases the risk of hydroplaning—drivers should slow down and leave ample space between vehicles. They warn that easing off the gas and steering in the direction you want to go can help regain control if your car skids—these tips can keep you safer on wet roads.  The Dallas Morning News
