ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A storm system will bring widespread rain and thunderstorms to North Texas starting Friday evening and continuing into Saturday—areas near and east of I-35 may face flooding risks. Heavy rain is expected to total between 1-3 inches and force high school football games to be rescheduled. NBC DFW
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano broke ground on an eight‐story patient tower today that will add 96 new beds—space for future expansion is included. The tower is set to open in 2028. Plano Star Courier
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Prosper Rock Hill beat Plano East 24—7 last week and now fights for the final District 6—6A playoff spots against Princeton and larger Plano schools. The team will play its remaining games against Plano and McKinney to try to secure a postseason berth. The Dallas Morning News
