- ➤ Dallas Area Rapid Transit will launch the 26-mile Silver Line on October 25 with free rides and community events at its 10 new stops. Plano’s 12th Street Station will unveil 16 windscreen installations featuring historic photos of Douglass Community members—along with a remote MAJIC 94.5 broadcast and a Jakarta Band concert from 6 to 9 p.m. Plano Magazine
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Storehouse Community Center in Plano has teamed up with Golden Cross Academic Clinic and Methodist Health System’s Mobile Mammography Unit to offer free on-site mammograms three times a year and refer patients for follow-up care. More than 200 neighbors have received screenings—local resident Nancy Ferguson says the service is lifesaving and urges others to get checked. Plano Magazine
