  • The Dallas Morning News is partnering with the Islamic Association of Collin County to host a listening session for the Muslim community at the Plano mosque on Nov. 7 from 6—8 p.m. Community members will share feedback and story ideas to improve understanding.  The Dallas Morning News
  • Plano neighbors expressed their concerns about the city's plan for the old Davis elementary site during a recent public meeting. They said tensions remain high over what is planned for the property—residents hope for a decision that best fits the community.  NBC DFW
  • Plano tops WalletHub's list as the best Texas city for people with disabilities and ranks 19th in the nation based on factors like safety, cost of living, medical care access, quality of life, and employment opportunities—showing strong community support.  Plano Star Courier

CULTURE NEWS

  • Ballet North Texas will present Carrie Ruth Trumbo’s new ballet that retells Sleepy Hollow from Katrina’s perspective — she adds fresh elements like technical projections to heighten the eerie mood. The production will run Oct. 24-25 at 8 p.m. at Moody Performance Hall.  KERA
