BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Desperados Mexican Restaurant will open a third Plano location at 5960 W Parker Road Suite 210 in Willow Bend Market—work began mid-September and is set to complete by the end of October so the new spot will open before the end of 2025. The Dallas Morning News

- ➤ Collin County is growing fast and its population is set to nearly double by 2060 with Princeton rising 30.6% in one year—this surge has led to higher home prices, more traffic delays, and plans for extra school and road projects. The Dallas Morning News

- ➤ Plano Fire Station 5 will reopen on Oct. 22 after a $12M renovation funded by the 2021 bond referendum, and the upgraded facility now has more space for emergency vehicles, equipment, a renovated living area for firefighters, and a storm shelter. Plano Star Courier
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Stars are in talks with Plano, Frisco, The Colony, Arlington — and Fort Worth to build a new arena after their Dallas lease ends in 2031. The team will decide within 6-8 months if it will start construction in 2028 or 2029 to maintain year-round revenue. The Dallas Morning News
