  • Neiman Marcus at The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano will close in January 2027 after more than 20 years as Saks Global sold the space to a developer planning a mix-use project — the move comes as the mall is set for major redevelopment and employees may receive transfer options.  The Dallas Morning News

  • Echo Theatre is showing El Rey del Pollo—a version of King Lear turned into a funny tale about a chicken restaurant owner—at Bath House Cultural Center through Sept. 27 with a bilingual script that uses both Shakespeare’s words and modern talk.  KERA

  • Collin County is facing growing challenges as rising home values push up tax bills despite property tax rates remaining unchanged, and officials are restructuring the sheriff’s office to manage increased demand at the jail. A November ballot measure will raise homestead exemption limits — a change that could reduce taxable value and force local governments to adjust their budgets.  KERA
