- ➤ Paris Baguette, a worldwide bakery cafe chain, opened its new East Plano location at 1201 E Parker Road earlier this week—run by local franchisee Waleed Liaquat and serving cakes, pastries, savory bites, and mini pizzas. The cafe operates from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Plano Magazine

- ➤ Students in Plano ISD started their school year without bus service as the district halted routes for hundreds of students due to a strained budget—impacting many families. NBC DFW
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Texas driver licenses got a new look when the Texas Department of Public Safety updated the design on Monday. The new cards are made of tamper-resistant polycarbonate and feature a black—laser engraved star for REAL ID compliance while older licenses remain valid until they expire. The Dallas Morning News
