- ➤ Plano police arrested 49-year-old Gang Li—who worked at Sunshine Wellness Spa—after he attempted to sexually assault clients and may have been operating without a valid license. FOX 4 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rural Collin County residents are working to form the county’s first emergency services district—voters will decide in November if a new property tax will fund local fire protection, as cities opt to step back from rural service contracts. The new district will set up contracts with fire departments starting October to ensure timely emergency response. The Dallas Morning News

- ➤ Hezly Rivera, a 17-year-old from Plano, won the 2025 all-around national championship after earning team gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics and now plans to compete at the world championships in Indonesia as she aims for the LA Olympics in 2028 — her LSU commitment shows her rising career.
