  • Khristina Simpson, 66, moved into her own one-bedroom apartment in Plano after two years of staying in hotels, shelters and her car as part of The Bridge program—helping her start over with stable housing. HEALTH NEWS

  • Cereal maker Kellogg has agreed to remove synthetic food dyes from Fruit Loops and other cereals by the end of 2027 under a voluntary deal with Texas—this change follows an investigation into the company’s marketing of allegedly unhealthy products.  The Dallas Morning News
  • Doctors warn that even moderate heat can quickly lead to heat illness for high school athletes and band members as practices begin in Texas — they advise parents to ensure kids take frequent water breaks, rest in the shade, and acclimatize to rising humidity.
