- ➤ Irving Mayor Rick Stopfer joined other local mayors in sending a letter to Governor Greg Abbott in support of bills to change DART’s funding even though a report shows Irving received more in allocations than its sales tax contribution—he said the city is not getting fair service. DART officials will review the allocation methods as member cities face a deadline on Aug. 31 to adopt a resolution for General Mobility Program funds. KERA
