- ➤ Kintetsu Enterprises filed plans for a 13-story, 217-key Japanese luxury hotel at the former JCPenney campus in Plano and work will begin later this year with a projected completion in 2027. The hotel will mix modern Japanese design with Texas architecture and offer guest rooms, meeting spaces and a high rooftop bar. The Dallas Morning News

- ➤ Prestonwood Christian quarterback Luke Glass, who completed 172 of 259 passes for 2,862 yards + 30 touchdowns last season, is one of the top returning passers for the upcoming football season.
