CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Plano police are investigating a homicide after a woman’s body was found in a Legacy West apartment—part of a popular shopping and dining destination—in Plano as detectives work to uncover leads. NBC DFW
- ➤ Plano police responded to a welfare check call on Wednesday at around 4:15 p.m.—on the 6000 block of Water Street—where they found a woman who was later pronounced dead by Plano Fire-Rescue. The Dallas Morning News

- ➤ The City of Plano began replacing 70,000 faulty water meter transmitters—work that will last until early 2026—and is celebrating Park and Recreation Month with free community events while also sending out the 2025 Citizen Survey next week. City Council will meet on July 28 and 30 to review plans that include buying Armstrong Middle School for $8.15 million, and local partners will host a First Responder Blood Drive, an Active Shooter Response Class on July 15 at Davis Library while Fix-It Plano will see a service interruption from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on July 11 and 12.
