Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 1st of July.
Good morning, Plano.
🌲 Environment
Downwinders at Risk, a North Texas advocacy group—backed by local governments, nonprofits, and tribes—filed a lawsuit against the EPA over its decision to end an environmental grant program that would have funded air quality monitors in Dallas-Fort Worth working-class communities.
The lawsuit claims that the agency’s move—by defunding a program created under the Inflation Reduction Act and Clean Air Act Section 138—violates separation-of-powers principles.
