Good morning, Plano.

Plano businesses are placing emergency orders for beer and brisket as World Cup fans boost local demand; the move comes one week into the tournament and signals preparations for more crowds.

Local owners say the surge reflects strong consumer interest during the ongoing event.

North Texas fans are gathering at local spots like Argentina 163 in Euless & Jorg's Café Vienna ahead of Monday's noon kickoff in Arlington where Argentina meets Austria in their first World Cup match in 28 years, with fans expected to cheer as energy builds ahead of the game.
