Legal professionals and the North Texas Food Bank hosted the annual Food from the Bar campaign and raised $145,718, collected 940 lbs. of food and volunteered 212 hours to help feed children.

The event honored top-performing law firms on May 28 and aimed to ease summer food insecurity in the Dallas-Fort Worth area — one of the hardest-hit regions in Texas.

Former Dallas Cowboys player Kelvin Joseph was released on bond on Sunday after he was arrested for driving while intoxicated and collision involving death in a Saturday morning crash on North Central Expressway near Park Boulevard that killed 27-year-old Plano mother Cody Morris—leaving her two young children without their mom.
