EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Plano ISD closed four campuses after the 2024-2025 school year due to declining enrollment and high costs. The city purchased Davis and Forman elementary properties—planning to redevelop the land for community benefit—while the district considers repurposing Carpenter Middle and may sell Armstrong Middle soon. - ➤ Starting July 1, drivers using North Texas toll roads will face a modest toll increase when TollTag rates rise from 21 cents to 22 cents per mile while ZipCash users will keep paying about double that rate. NTTA says the new revenue — intended to support its Five-Year Capital Plan including improvements to roadways like the Dallas North Tollway and Chisholm Trail Parkway — will help maintain system safety.
