- ➤ A teacher at Boggess Elementary School in Murphy was attacked last month when a man grabbed her after asking about her job—police tracked her cellphone and later arrested Daniel Okungbowa, who was released on bond on May 24 for charges of robbery and theft. The Dallas Morning News

- ➤ NTTA said toll road rates in North Texas will increase later this summer, with TollTag customers paying 22 cents per mile instead of 21 cents and ZipCash users paying double — the new rates will go into effect on July 1 and be shown on upcoming signs — funds will help repay debt and support road maintenance.
