- ➤ The Senate passed HB 6 that gives educators more flexibility by replacing automatic off-campus removals for vaping with in-school suspensions that are reviewed regularly. Lawmakers also revised the bill to require documented reviews before suspending young children — a measure added after local superintendents discussed the issue — and House members must approve the changes before the governor signs it. - ➤ A proposed housing development called EPIC City is under federal and state probe for possible religious discrimination and fair housing violations, even though its construction has not started.
