- ➤ Plano will host a 45-minute Memorial Day tribute on Monday, May 26 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park on Bay Hill Drive—featuring a roll call of fallen soldiers, posting of the colors, pledge of allegiance, invocation, National Anthem, proclamation and 21-gun salute. Organizers from the American Legion Harding-Blaine Post 321 and Casey Joyce All-America VFW Post 4380 will coordinate the event—also offering newly installed bricks of honor and an option to purchase a brick online to honor loved ones. - ➤ Two children were hit by a car Tuesday afternoon near Accent Drive and West Plano Parkway and were taken to a hospital—police said the vehicle ran a red light, leaving both in stable condition. NBC DFW

- ➤ EPIC City is a planned Muslim-centered community near Josephine, and no building has started because the project is still in planning. Gov. Abbott and other officials have asked agencies to look into claims that the project may break fair housing laws — while project leaders say it will be open to everyone and investors will own their land once the full price is paid.
