EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Texas families applied for school vouchers to fund early education. More than 5,200 students from Plano ISD applied before the window closed on March 31 & the Comptroller’s office will verify info with Odyssey before notifying families about awards, with funds distributed starting in July. - ➤ Students at a local high school experienced a hands-on pig lung lesson (provided by Baylor Scott and White Hospital and Uplift Education) that showed them how healthy lungs differ from diseased ones and helped them decide if a medical career fits their goals. NBC DFW
